Terms of Service

The Site is operated by Chacon Dental Clinic, a licensed dental practice located in Manuel Antonio, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to Chacon Dental Clinic.

You must be at least 18 years old, or a parent or legal guardian acting on behalf of a minor, to submit an appointment request or contact form. By using the Site you represent that any information you provide is truthful, accurate, and current.

Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute dental or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. A doctor-patient relationship is created only after an in-person evaluation at our clinic. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on the Site. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

Submitting a contact form, WhatsApp message, or email is a request only. An appointment is confirmed only when we reply to you with a specific date and time. We reserve the right to decline or reschedule requests based on availability, clinical suitability, or scheduling constraints.

By providing your email address or phone number, you consent to receive replies, appointment confirmations, reminders, and administrative messages from us through those channels. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time by replying to us or emailing chacondentalclinic@gmail.com.

You agree not to use the Site to: submit false, misleading, or abusive information; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or our systems; interfere with the Site's operation or security; upload malicious code; scrape, copy, or reuse content commercially without our written permission; or infringe the rights of any third party.

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photos, videos, and clinical illustrations — is owned by or licensed to Chacon Dental Clinic and is protected by Costa Rican and international copyright and trademark laws. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use only. All other uses require our prior written consent.

The Site may link to third-party websites and services (e.g., WhatsApp, Google Maps, social networks, payment processors). We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk and subject to that service's terms.

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chacon Dental Clinic, its owners, staff, and providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, including lost data, lost profits, or missed appointments. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under Costa Rican law.

You agree to indemnify and hold Chacon Dental Clinic harmless from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of San José, Costa Rica.

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms become effective when posted on this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
